Part 3 – Blessed/Happy are those who MOURN
Matt. 5:4- “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”.
Questions: Is your heart heavy and laden with burdens? Are you mourning over the loss of something or someone? Do you allow God’s Spirit to help you mourn over your sins?
Jesus says to us in Matt.11:28, “Come to Me, ALL you who are heavy laden and overburdened. I will relieve and refresh you and give you rest.”
Psalm 126:5+6 says, “They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing. He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion, and the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the same comfort we ourselves received from Him.” [2 Cor. 1:3-4]
Thank You precious Jesus, that the repentance of my own sins, and the healing of my wounds and pain, can be used as a basis to comfort and bless others. Please turn my tears into cries of joy and praise unto You Who gives us the oil of joy instead of mourning. Amen
“Jesus is near you, as close as the air you breathe, ready to comfort and help you as you as you call out to Him.”
