Heb. 11:1 says, “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for. It is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Heb. 11:1 – “It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must (continue to) believe that God exists and that He (continues to) reward those who sincerely (continue to) seek Him.”

God reveals Himself to us daily. To Moses He revealed Himself as “I AM” – the everlasting God.  To Rahab in the desert as “El Roi” – the God who sees.  His promises reveal His faithfulness, His everlasting love, grace, provision, mercy and protection.

In faith we need to find Him afresh and focus on Him every day, to realize His provision for us daily. In John 6:29 Jesus said, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the One He has sent.”  If we live daily believing that God is, that His grace is sufficient for us, that His mercies are new every morning, that He will reward us if we continue to sincerely seek Him in every circumstance of the day, then He will reveal Himself throughout the day as the Faithful One. This is eternal life lived this side of the grave – life in God’s presence.

John 3:15 -“Everyone who (continues) believing in Him will have eternal life. John 20:31 – “These things are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing in Him you will have life by the power of His Name.”

As we live daily in communion with God, we experience hope (trusting in His promises for the future) and peace (we have been reconciled to God – our sin has been dealt with – “it is finished”).

Heb. 10:23 says, “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.”  “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” (Rom. 5:1)

In our daily living, this faith is expressed in love – finding opportunities to minister love to whomever the Lord brings across our path – being the hands and feet of the Master.

Gal. 5:6b – “…The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”  As we walk in the presence of God, we have access to His power through prayer. Mark 9:23 states, “Anything is possible for him who believes.”

Through faith we can intercept and neutralize the attacks of Satan, defeating fear, doubt, the desires of the flesh, ridicule and rejection. Eph. 6:16 – “Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.”

The secret is to boldly confess our faith in the face of whatever challenge we face, like Job did. Job 19:25-27 says, “But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and He will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God. I will see Him for myself. Yes, I will see Him with my own eyes.”

Let us keep praying with the Lord’s disciples as in Luke 17:5 “Lord, increase my faith.”
