Are you living and walking by faith? 2 Cor. 5:7 says -> “For we walk and live by faith, not by sight.” Hebrews 11:1 states -> “Faith is the confidence/ assurance/reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence/ conviction/ certainty of things we cannot see.”
It is almost like a blind man who has to trust his guide dog or guide stick or someone else to go where he needs to go. A blind man must place his trust in something else besides himself. Just so we need to trust in Someone who is much greater than us, who knows our future better than we know it ourselves.
Faith is an action based on what we believe to be true, e.g. Jesus died for us but He rose again and we can trust Him. We can have faith in the action of not worrying, the action to rest in Him, of trusting our Lord when we need direction. What do you do when you just don’t know what to do? Remember that what is uncertain to us, is already certain to Him. What is unknown to us is already known to Him. He loves to orchestrate and plan our lives to work out for our best. Christ’s intentions for us are always good.
Psalm 91:14-15 says, “Because you love me,” says the LORD, “I will deliver/ rescue you; I will protect you, for you acknowledge my name. When you call to me, I will answer you; I will be with you in trouble; I will rescue you and honour/ deliver you.” [Placing “you” instead of “he/him.”]
Almighty God promises us in Psalm 121 that He watches over us. He knows our names and He is faithful! NOTHING is hidden from Him. He knows the deep secrets we try to hide, even from ourselves. His compassionate love reaches out to us this day. Corrie ten Boom wrote, “Jesus knows, He loves, He cares – NOTHING this truth can dim. He gives the very best to those who place their trust in Him.” To fully trust Jesus is to relinquish (surrender) our control over to Him!
Dearest Abba Father God, Thank You that You are interested in every detail of my life, that You know the end from the beginning, that You are Alpha and Omega, the Great I AM! Please help me to yield to You in all situations and to have the faith that Your purposes for my life are the best, the most perfect and the most wonderful. Thank You that I can experience Your peace that passes all understanding, when I abandon myself to You. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
