Do you trust Jesus enough with every detail of your life? In 1 Cor. 1:10 we are told – ”God, in Whom we trust, He will still deliver us.” Christ will NEVER leave us nor abandon us once we have dedicated our lives to Him and live for His glory. The Bible tells us, ”I will not fail you nor forsake you. I will NEVER leave you…. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you…” He Himself has said, ”I will never leave you nor forsake you”. Joshua 1:5 / John 14:27 / Hebrews 13:5
What hardships are you going through currently? What decisions do you need to make which seem difficult to do? Father God promises us that “The Name of the Lord is a Strong tower – the righteous run into it and they are safe.” [Prov. 18:10] Yes, we can find safety and refuge, protection, and guidance in Him, when we trust Him enough. Psalm 9:10 says, “They that know Your name will put their trust in You.”
A small child who is secure, will naturally place his/her trust in their parents. How much more we need to place our trust in Him, who knows the beginning from the end and who says to us in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Father God wants our deserts to bloom with loving trust. He is not only present with us now, but He is also right there, waiting for us where He wants us to go. ALL we need to do is to trust Him every moment of every day.
When Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, placed unjustly into prison, his faith and trust in God never wavered. It was that trust which helped him to overcome doubts and fears, and which eventually led to him becoming a key in the salvation of his family and a great leader in a foreign land. Friends, let us trust our Lord with every fibre of our beings. HE, who sacrificed His very life for us, He who loves us more than any other every could – He is trustworthy!
Psalm 37:3- 6 states, “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. COMMIT your way to the Lord; TRUST IN HIM and He will do this: He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun.”
Precious Lord Jesus, please forgive me when I sometimes trust in my own judgements and actions and not more in You. You know the way I need to go and take. Help me to trust Your guidance and to be obedient to what You tell me to do. I am weak and You are strong. I can trust you and lean upon Your love and leadership in my life. I love you, oh Saviour and I have confidence that Your plans for me are righteous, just and good. Help me to be submissive to You and to trust You more daily. Amen
