MESSAGE OF EASTER

The meaning of Easter revolves around Jesus Christ’s triumph over death. His resurrection means eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The importance of Easter is outlined in 1 Cor.15: 3-4, 14 – “For what I have received I passed on to you as of FIRST importance: that Christ DIED for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was RAISED on the third day according to the scriptures…And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is our faith.” Without Christ’s death and resurrection, we would not have hope in Eternity and our faith would be in vain. Both God and Jesus gave EVERYTHING to offer us abundant life!

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his ONE and ONLY Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This eternal life is called RESURRECTION life. Jesus can resurrect (revive/save) you from whatever difficult circumstance you might find yourself in right now. This life has victorious power and grace.

Jesus did not come into the world to only offer Himself sacrificially in an agonizing death, but He also came to bring God’s message of unconditional love and forgiveness. Easter tells us that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God. Perfect, unending, enduring, eternal love could not be killed on a cross, and could not be held in a grave. Denise Donato wrote, “God transformed the darkest moment into the greatest act of love the world has ever known!”

Heavenly Father God, thank You that Your love is unlimited. “If I go to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn or settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.” [Psalm 139:8-10] Thank You so much for sending Jesus to live among us to show us Your way, to offer Your love and Your forgiveness, and to prepare for us an eternal, permanent Home when I commit my life to You. Help me to worship You as I should and to offer my own life as a living sacrifice since Romans 12:1 says – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a LIVING SACRIFICE, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Abba Father, please give me the strength to submit my life totally to You, to offer my body – my eyes, hands, feet, mind and heart completely to You, so You can use me to bless others. May my life be pleasing unto You. I love You, oh Lord my Strength and my Redeemer. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
